I’ve started a podcast where I will discuss interesting topics throughout the week. Since this is the first episode I use this opportunity to introduce myself, and get comfortable with my voice. I used questions that were sent to me from my instagram account @bigmanbighorse. Overall, I had a really great time answering these questions and I look forward to having a different guest on each week. I can definitely see myself staying committed and using this as a platform for myself moving forward.

Vibrations: Walking Through Cappadocia
Cappadocia is one of the most beautiful places in the world. I was absolutely blown away with the history and significance of this beautiful region.
While I was there we went on a hike in the Göreme National Park where I was overwhelmed with pure emotion. At one point, I stopped and I tried to take it all in. A part of me was let down because I’ll never know when I’ll be here again. The other part, was in a state of complete gratitude. I am so grateful, and privileged to have witnessed the most breathtaking view of my life. It’s the first time I’ve ever cried because of nature. For the first time, I understood how important a human’s connection to Earth is.
My soul was invigorated. I felt different, and I knew moving forward I need to bring change to my life. I will always be proud, and grateful to have been born in New York City, but to be completely honest I’m also really disappointed in how toxic it is. Having to worry about 100 different things, isn’t healthy. Always being on the grind, moving from one place to another, and not stopping to appreciate what we have around us, is saddening. Having to chase money to make a living, and it still not being enough is frustrating. At least to me.

The Groove
Introduction

Hi my name is Jason Cela, and I am 21 years old and live in Queens, NY. I was born and raised in Astoria but now I live in Jackson Heights – which is about 20 minutes away from Astoria. I’ve worked at BlackTap SoHo as a host/server/bartender for over a year now. I can make a really good milkshake, I promise you that. One of my personal hobbies is to Rock Climb. I go to Brooklyn Boulders in LIC every other day, and you can pretty much find me there at nights.
For the last three years I have been searching for a purpose. For a large portion of my life I was obsessed with being a filmmaker. After High School, I don’t know what happened but my passion died out, and I’ve been lost ever since. Film has a very special place in my heart, and I’ve been doing everything I can to ignite that fire once again.
However in the meantime, I learned how to make music, I was a foreman for a construction company when I was 19, joined the restaurant industry, learned to rock climb, became more self-sufficient, and I believe have gained more life experience than I give myself credit for.
This blog will have no real agenda. I will just be posting every day, hopefully furthering my greater goals.
The only social media I have is Instagram: @bigmanbighorse
